Discover SVdP: Attend Ozanam Orientation
What is Ozanam Orientation? If you’ve just joined the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) or have been serving for many years but have never been, Ozanam Orientation is your chance to connect with our mission, deepen your understanding, and ignite your passion for service.
Named after our founder in 1833, Frédéric Ozanam, this uplifting and interactive training will explore the heart of Vincentian life—our Mission, History, Spirituality, Structure, and the art of Home Visits—through engaging conversations, real-life examples, and shared experiences.
Why Attend?
Ozanam Orientation is required for all first-year Vincentians and those who’ve never attended before. The Society is a mission of spiritual growth for our volunteers and direct aid to our neighbors in need. This Orientation will:
- Introduce you to the Society’s mission, values, and spirituality
- Enrich your spiritual life and sense of purpose
- Equip you with practical skills to better serve neighbors in need
- Connect you to prayerful resources and people who can help you make a difference
By investing your time in this training, you’re not only enriching your own journey—you’re helping make your Conference stronger, more informed, and more effective in its mission
