The St. Vincent de Paul Georgia is seeking people who love thrifting and finding treasures to fill open positions in our Thrift Stores. Your excellent customer service skills, friendly, hardworking demeanor and ability to work in a team based environment will help us provide funding to people in need as well.

This position offers the best of both worlds: the enjoyment of retail without the Late Nights and Sundays off!

Our typical work days include:

Providing a great experience for customer while donating, shopping and checking-out purchases.

Selecting and sorting merchandise.

Merchandising and pricing.

This is an active job; frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting and squatting will be a part of the daily routine. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, who has a “ready, set, happy!” mindset.

Bilingual Spanish speaking is a strong plus!

Work hours between10:00 am-6:00 pm Mon-Sat

Ability to lift 40 lbs. is required.

Thrift Store Associate

Reporting to the Store Manager, the Thrift Store Sales Associate is primarily responsible for sales and merchandising duties in the local St. Vincent de Paul Thrift store. The Sales associate should have a love of thrifting, an eye for treasures and get a keen sense of satisfaction from knowing that your hard work helps provide funding to people in need. The position offers the best of both worlds: the enjoyment of retail without the late nights and Sundays off!

VIEW JOB DESCRIPTION

Senior Accountant

Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant performs general accounting functions and complex accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analyses. This position handles all accounting processes for the organization’s 9 retail thrift stores, including preparing monthly financial reports for each store. This position works closely with volunteer treasurers at each store to insure that financial records are accurate and in compliance with general accounting procedures/policies. This position is also responsible for grant agreements including invoicing, collecting, payment processing and reporting requirements of each grant award. This position is responsible for rental property accounting for the 4 tenants that rent space adjacent to the Council’s office. The Senior Accountant will also serve as backup for payroll processing.

Case Worker

At the direction of and in collaboration with the Council Casework Manager, the Case Worker is responsible for providing case management services to SVDP GA clients seeking direct aid and other assistance. The Case Worker is also responsible for maintaining accurate records of clients served to ensure compliance with grants.
