We are neighbors helping neighbors through life’s toughest moments.
As we help them, the Council is here to help you bring love, respect, hope, and tangible support to our communities.
Vincentian training opportunities are offered throughout the year. Some are required, most are optional, yet all are encouraged to help you deliver the mission confidently, faithfully, and prayerfully. Choose a topic based on your current role or interests. Explore a role you may want to do in the future. By investing time in Vincentian knowledge and spirituality, you’re not only enriching your own journey — you’re helping to make your Conference stronger, more informed, and more effective at bringing the face of Christ to others. Thank you.

Bringing Dignity to Neighbors in Need
From the Society’s beginning, the central activity to our mission has been visiting struggling Neighbors in their homes — the Home Visit. We help a fellow Neighbor find stability and recover their dignity by listening and guiding them to discover how to help themselves. Vincentians offer humble advice and render assistance. Below are ways you can grow in this most-important role.
Contact your Conference leadership and ask to shadow 1-2 experienced Vincentians on Home Visits. This is the best way to learn how to bring Christ’s mercy to those in difficult situations.

Advocacy | Voice for the Poor
Called to Be Advocates for the Poor
Not as political lobbyists, but as friends, we help the Neighbors whom we have come to know be heard, or when needed to speak on their behalf. [Rule, Part I, 7.5] By growing your experience as a Vincentian who meets Neighbors face to face AND by learning about the social constructs that make self-sufficiency difficult, we can foster new compassion for “the least among us.”
