The National Council is preparing an online, on-demand, self-paced training program – voluntary courses about prevention, shelter diversion, emergency assistance, and the Vincentian encounter. Each course offers practical (not theoretical) tools and tips for conversations with Neighbors in crisis. Feedback from Georgia Vincentians will shape these courses before a national launch later this year.
Help Georgia participate fully. We invite all Vincentians to voluntarily take seven online, courses this summer from the National Council’s new Housing Stability Institute. Courses are free, approximately 60-75 minutes each, and taken in short modules – resume where you left off as your schedule allows.
Any Vincentian – new or veteran – volunteering in any role (thrift, pantry, or casework) is welcome. The pilot study especially hopes to capture feedback from those who never before have participated in online learning or admittedly feel uncomfortable with technology tools.
