Susan Hansen
Susan Hansen is currently serving as Senior Director of Finance/Chief Financial Officer of St. Vincent de Paul Georgia (SVDP Georgia). Prior to her appointment she was the Controller of SVDP Georgia for the prior two years and served on the senior management team. She passed the CPA board of Indiana in 1996 after graduating from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. She is also the Founder/ Director of the Mustard Tree Foundation, which helps young people in Georgia, North Carolina, and Florida receive scholarships for rehabilitation counseling for addiction.
In other past positions Susan was the Head of School for 5 years at the Atlanta International Montessori School and Endeavor Montessori /IB School(2016-2021), the CFO at Marist School for over 9 years (2006-2016) and taught their Accounting and Finance program, an Adjunct Professor of Accounting and Finance at Oglethorpe University (2011-2013), and Vice President for 6 years at Brebeuf Jesuit High School in Indianapolis (2001-2006).
Susan has also volunteered a great deal of her time, she helped found the Cristo Rey School in Atlanta, serving as their volunteer CFO for the first two years of operation. Sue was also the Founder/Director of Camp Awareness, a camp for children with autism, for 12 years starting in 1994, serving over 1,000 children in Indiana and becoming the largest camp for children with autism in the USA. She has over 30 years of experience in non-profit finance and operations and has served on many Non-Profit Boards. These include Sophia Academy, Autism Society of Indiana, Arc of Indiana, Arc of Georgia, and many others. Personally, she has been married to Michael Hansen since 1979, and is the proud mother of two adult sons named Sean and Zachary.
