The Power of Community
A safe home was only the beginning of Jazz’s journey.
Through Marillac Moms and dedicated Holy Spirit SVdP Conference volunteers, Jazz has been surrounded by people committed to helping her succeed.
Volunteers meet with Jazz regularly, offering encouragement and helping her navigate goals, budgeting, scheduling, employment opportunities, and the many decisions that come with rebuilding stability. They celebrate progress, problem-solve challenges, and remind her that she does not have to do this alone.
Practical support has also made a meaningful difference. Childcare assistance, household supplies, food, maternity items, and essentials for her daughters have helped remove barriers and create breathing room while Jazz works toward independence.
But some of the most important support cannot be placed in a box. It is the friendship, consistency, and sense of belonging that comes from a caring community.
Jazz and her daughters have attended parish events, met welcoming families, and begun building relationships that help them feel at home.
This is the heart of Marillac Moms: not only helping mothers through crisis, but surrounding them with the support needed to build lasting stability.
