Lisa, a single mother of two, worked very hard each day to make sure that she brought home a sustainable income for her family. All she ever wanted was the best for her daughters and she was doing everything she could until the restaurant where she served at closed down due to the coronavirus pandemic. With no substantial savings in place, Lisa became weary because her apartment rent was due in the amount of $1380 and she only had $700 including the $500 from child support she receives to cover any extra expenses for the month. Desperate for help and in fear of eviction, Lisa reach out to her local St. Vincent de Paul Georgia Conference who helped cover the remainder of her rent bill, and also provided the family with $100 worth of groceries.

I really hope that the restaurant will reopen soon and not cut my hours so that my life can get back to normal.
