Apply for the Metro Atlanta Rehousing Initiative
The Metro Atlanta Rehousing Initiative (MARI) provides limited financial assistance to help qualified individuals or families with income transition move into stable housing.
The program may provide up to $2,000 toward move-in costs (deposit and first-month’s rent). MARI does not provide funding for past-due rent or housing debt. Before completing the application below, please review the basic eligibility requirements to ensure you qualify.
To be considered for assistance, applicants must:
- Have income from employment, retirement, SSI or SSDI
- Have been accepted for housing, with a welcome letter from the landlord
- Rent will be 40% or less of your current income
- Currently reside in one of the following Georgia counties: Butts, Cherokee, Coweta, Cobb, Clayton, Dekalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Paulding, Rockdale
Please note: Additional factors such as your rent-to-income ratio and overall debt also will be considered when reviewing your application.
