READINESS

Here, we will ask you about your level of readiness for participating in the HANDS Savings Program.
Have you adjusted well to all the new responsibilities that go with being permanently housed?

Have you maintained your new housing situation?

Do you have a basic budget?

Are your income and bills predictable each month?

Do you have stable employment?

If not, are you currently looking for stable employment?

Were you physically, emotionally, and mentally in a good place in your life to participate in the program?

Did you have the extra time and energy to dedicate to this program to make sure that you were successful?

Are or were you ready to work on creating a "savings mindset" even if it means prioritizing, rethinking, and making financial sacrifices to help you reach your goals?

PARTICIPATION

Here, we will ask you about your participation in the HANDS Savings Program.
Was it easy to complete the online application, contract, and ROI forms as well as officially enroll in the program?

Were you in need of a laptop and/or internet service to actively participate in the HANDS Savings Proram?

Was the individual budget counseling session helpful for you to achieve success in this program?

Was obtaining a checking and/or savings account a challenge or barrier for you in participating in this program?

Was the mandatory Saturday Zoom Life Skills class educational and informative?

If you were unable to attend the mandatory class on Saturday, would you have liked to be able to view the class online and take a quiz to stay in compliance with the program's rules?

As a HANDS Savings Program participant, would you find a list of phone numbers for emergency rent, utility, and food assistance helpful and empowering?

Was sending screenshots to the HANDS Savings Case Manager difficult for you to do?

Was it helpful to receive HANDS Savings Program reminders by both text and email?

Was the HANDS Savings Program Case Manager, Colleen, helpful and responsive if you had any questions and/or concerns?

OUTCOMES

Here, we will ask you about the payoffs and outcomes of your participation in the HANDS Savings Program.
Were you successful in making the 6-month savings match?

If, for whatever reason, you would like a "do-over" of the program, would you like to join the August or September cohort?

Are you committed to saving money and sending in proof of deposits for an additional 6 months of the HANDS Savings Program to earn extra bonuses and incentives?
To be clear, SVDP will not match another 6 months, but you can earn an additional $200 if you continue to save any amount.

Would you like to continue to be able to access online classes, attend financial literacy workshops, and receive 1:1 budget coaching, as needed?

Would you like to attend SVdP-sponsored employment fairs to explore better paying career opportunities?

Would you like to participate in a HANDS Savings Alumni Group that will continue to meet online to support each other and exchange ideas on how to keep their "savings mindset" going?
