This program is an opportunity for families with children to work on maintaining their permanent housing situation by mastering basic budgeting, learning life and financial literacy skills, and developing a savings mindset that will aid them in becoming self-sufficient and financially stable. Financial incentives, education, mentoring, and relationship-building are important to the program.
This program is a six-month commitment to improving a family’s financial wellness and aiding them in securing their future.
Cash Transfer Program
This program is a cash transfer savings program your Motel2Home participants in Dekalb and Fulton counties. You must have a child ages 0-4 to participate.
- Every month we will deposit $200 on to a Visa Rapid Card that we will give you.
- $100 of this is yours to spend, it can be transferred into your bank account. The other $100 must be saved, at the end of 6 months you will have $600 in savings.
- You must attend an online class once a month. These will cover financial and life skills topics.
- You must sign up with our Income Advancement Program, this is a one on one session with a career counselor to help increase your income.
- The monthly deposits will be made on condition that the monthly $100 savings remain on the Rapid Card.
- After the 6 months you can transfer the $600 savings into your own bank account to keep adding to and growing.
