Volunteer Opportunities

St. Vincent de Paul Georgia has a variety of short-term, no-to-low commitment volunteer opportunities that are open to anyone, including individuals, groups, youth and those who need to complete mandated community service.

Food Pantry Assistant

SVdP Georgia – Chamblee

Minimum age (with adult) – 12+
Minimum age = 15+
Community service requests accepted – no theft or violent offenses

Sort food, stock food pantry shelves, inventory product, prepare food boxes and snack packs, replenish refrigerators and freezers and more.

Peanut butter jars and other foods on display shelves.

Food Pantry Client Intake Assistant

SVdP Georgia – Chamblee

Assist with client appointment scheduling and food pantry check in, collect client information and assist with data entry.

Minimum one volunteer shift per week on an ongoing basis is required.

Food Pantry Shopping Assistant

SVdP Georgia – Chamblee

Explain shopping process to food pantry clients and assist with selecting items, checking out and bagging groceries. Stock shelves, sort food and assist with data entry as needed.

Food Delivery Driver

SVdP Georgia – Chamblee

Minimum age (with adult) – 15 (with parent as passenger)
Minimum age = 18+
Community service requests accepted – no violent, theft or sex offenses

Deliver food boxes to neighbors in need.

- Must have valid driver’s license or learner’s permit (with adult supervision)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to climb stairs

Pharmacy Delivery Driver

SVdP Georgia – Chamblee

Deliver prescription medication filled by the SVdP Georgia Community Pharmacy to patients who live within 20 miles of SVdP Georgia’s Community Support Center in Chamblee.

Minimum age = 18+

- Must have valid driver’s license.

Data Entry + Administrative Support

SVdP Georgia – Chamblee

Support SVdP Georgia operations, programs, and development teams by helping with administrative activities.
