Learn how to refer (I) Neighbors to SNAP (food stamps) (II) Neighbors experiencing homelessness to apply for Social Security Disability.

Join us as we host CSC staff member Krystiona McLean to learn the eligibility criteria and how to refer neighbors in need to SNAP Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (food stamps).  She can help your neighbors in need apply!

Then, we will dig into learning about Social Security disability benefits.  We will be joined by Corey Stubbs, MCJ, MRC, Medicaid Eligibility Specialist, Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities.  He will share with us information about Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and inform us of how to refer neighbors in need to apply when they are experiencing homelessness (for this purpose, the homelessness criteria is that they do not have a lease or home in their name).

All Vincentian Caseworkers are encouraged to attend this Webinar. Those unable to join in person can send questions in advance to Mariel Risner Sivley, Housing Director, at msivley@svdpgeorgia.org. This webinar will be recorded and made available on our website.
