Walking with Neighbors: A Retreat Model for Spiritual Presence
Hosted by the Ignatian Spirituality Project (ISP) in partnership with St. Vincent de Paul Georgia
This program is a unique opportunity to learn how to attend more fully to the spiritual needs of the neighbors we serve, based on the traditional ISP retreat format Deacon Bill facilitates for homeless populations here in Atlanta. We’re taking that program a step further to empower Conferences and Vincentians with a retreat package to help us accompany our neighbors in need no matter where they are on their faith and life journey.
Our goal is to provide a roadmap – including tools, training and processes – for conferences to implement the Neighbor’s Retreats. This is an ecumenical retreat format, in which we’ll learn how to be sensitive to the varying backgrounds and temperaments of the neighbors we’re accompanying.
